We use the Teaching Strategies Creative Curriculum, a well established research-based early childhood curriculum used in many high quality preschool programs across the United States.
Creative Curriculum focuses on developing the whole child through hands on learning, exploration, and meaningful play. Children build skills in early literacy, math, problem solving, creativity, and social development through a variety of guided activities and learning centers.
Our teachers plan lessons that encourage curiosity, independence, and collaboration while helping children develop the foundational skills they need for kindergarten. The curriculum allows teachers to support each child's individual learning pace while creating engaging classroom experiences.
No. We believe families should be able to clearly understand tuition when researching childcare options, which is why our tuition rates are listed directly on our website. Many schools require families to schedule a tour just to learn pricing, but we prefer to be transparent and upfront about the cost of our program.
Tours are still strongly encouraged before enrolling so you can see our classrooms, meet our teachers, and learn more about what makes Amore Preschool special. However, we believe parents should not have to schedule a tour simply to find out tuition.
Many of our new families come to us because another parent shared their positive experience, and we are grateful for that trust. Word of mouth from our families is one of the most meaningful ways our community grows. We believe referrals are most meaningful when they come from a family's genuine experience and confidence in our program rather than from a monetary reward. For that reason we do not offer any financial incentive or credit for referring another family to our school.
Yes. Amore Preschool has an open door policy, and parents are always welcome to visit their child's classroom.
We believe strong partnerships with families are an important part of early childhood education. Parents are welcome to stop by, check in on their child, or spend time in the classroom whenever they would like.
For safety, our front gate remains locked and families must ring the front bell to enter the office. Once checked in, parents are welcome to go to their child's classroom whenever they would like.
Yes. At Amore Preschool, our director is actively involved in the daily operation of the school and regularly communicates with families on a daily basis.
Parents are always welcome to speak with the director if they have questions, would like to discuss their child's development, or want to talk through any concerns. Our school and director believe that strong communication between families and the school is essential for a positive preschool experience.
The director also meets with families during classroom transitions to help parents understand the next stage of their child's development and what to expect in their new classroom.
We believe that the best outcomes for children happen when teachers, school leadership, and families work together as partners.
Daycare programs typically focus on providing childcare for working families, while preschool programs focus more on early childhood education and preparing children for kindergarten.
At Amore Preschool, our program combines both care and education. Children participate in structured learning activities, creative play, social development, and hands on exploration through the Teaching Strategies Creative Curriculum.
Our goal is to create a nurturing environment where children feel safe while developing the skills they need for kindergarten and beyond.
Choosing a preschool is an important decision for families. A high quality preschool should provide a safe, nurturing environment where children can learn, explore, and develop confidence.
One important factor to consider is the curriculum. It is helpful to look beyond whether a school simply states that they have a curriculum and understand how it is actually used in the classroom. Strong programs use a structured curriculum while still allowing teachers to adapt lessons based on the individual needs, interests, and developmental pace of each child.
Leadership and school culture are also important. Some families prefer a family owned preschool where the owner and leadership team are directly involved in the day to day operation of the school. When leadership is present and engaged, it often creates a stronger sense of community and allows families to communicate directly with the people guiding the program.
Parents may also want to consider how the school communicates with families. A preschool that values strong communication and partnership with parents helps ensure children receive consistent support both at school and at home.
Other things families often look for include experienced and caring teachers, an open door policy that allows parents to stay connected with their child's classroom, clear and transparent tuition information, and positive reviews or testimonials from other families.
Visiting the school in person is one of the best ways to evaluate a preschool. A tour allows parents to observe the classrooms, meet the teachers, and see how children interact with their environment.
At Amore Preschool, we encourage families to schedule a tour so they can experience our classrooms, meet our team, and learn more about our program.
